My social media strategy is straightforward because social media is nothing more than a delivery vehicle for all this marketing. Social media can be simplified into two different audiences: those that know you and those that don’t.
1. KNOW YOU
Those that know are either past patients or those that have some level of awareness of you. They follow your page and to engage them we post regular content including videos and blog posts. The goal of these is to stay top of mind with them. This works a few ways…
1. Getting them into your practice for the first time and turning them into patients.
2. Reactivating past patients who have disappeared.
3. Encouraging referrals from them so you can help their family and friends.
2. DON’T KNOW YOU
Those that don’t know you are the majority. We can attract them to your social media profiles with great free content, paid ads, or a combination of both.
All of this content follows the same formula to grab their attention: hook, problem, solution. We hook them with something that talks directly to their top of mind self interests, explain how you understand their problem because you’ve helped others in their same exact position, and then present your solution. The solution is usually a detailed video piece that continues the conversation.
The mistake most make with their content to those who don’t know them is jumping right into a conversation about themselves instead of the patient. People who don’t know you aren’t friendly like those that do. Their natural position is complete indifference. We can’t get them from uninterested to a consultation immediately; but we can get them from uninterested, to somewhat interested, to more interested, to interested enough to meet you for a consultation. It’s a well choreographed dance.
I attract those that don’t know you organically through just posting great content and also targeting them with ads. Both have unique benefits and I can help you with them.
